As an investment object Bitcoin – currency is extremely volatile, i.e. its value fluctuates strongly both up and down. Because of this and the lack of consumer protection regulations, European supervisors are cautioning against investing in virtual currencies. They see it as an unacceptable investment for consumers. It can also be difficult to sell purchased virtual currency, and technical risks may arise during storage. Regardless of the problem, the consumer must bear the entire risk because this is an unregulated business.
